In December 2023, Grassroots Vet Ltd teamed up with a local animal charity in Samoa to host pop-up clinics in Upolu over three days during the busy Christmas period. Their small volunteer team, consisting of two vets, two nurses, and additional family members, successfully desexed over 20 dogs and cats. They also delivered a donation of veterinary medicines valued at up to $1000, comprising expired and new stock from Auckland clinics. Half of this donation, amounting to $500, was contributed through a Charity Scholarship from Animates-Vetcare. This collaborative effort highlights the impact of community partnerships and volunteerism in addressing animal welfare needs.
